For decades, the beaches of Marbella have been a favorite destination for both national and international tourists. From Guadalmina to Cabopino there are more than 30 kilometers of beaches in Marbella and the Costa del Sol for all tastes and styles, from the coolest in the center to the VIP with beach clubs and beach bars. Our favourite beaches are on the East side of Marbella where the sand is golden and there are no stones in the water, like the one in the featured image for this post; Cabopino Beach.

Guadalmina beach is located in San Pedro de Alcantara. Even though it might not be the best beach in Marbella, it is the last beach in the municipality before getting into Estepona. It is adjacent to the first golf course in Marbella: South Course 1959 and North Course 1973. The beach has stones and access by car is limited. It is quite secluded and has spectacular views of Gibraltar and the Moroccan Atlas. Guadalmina Beach is full of coves and has a multitude of Roman ruins along with the Almenara Tower.
Halfway between Marbella and Estepona it is this quiet beach. Here you will find all the services you need to spend a spectacular day of sun and sea. Also, you can enjoy a relaxing stroll at the promenade while stopping to try as many bars and restaurants as you like. In addition you will find parking very easily in the surroundings. However if you decide to come by bus you will have to walk a for at least 15min before you get to the beach.
It is one of the most different and spectacular beaches of Marbella and the Costa del Sol. It goes all the way from Puerto Banus and extends westward for 1km with a width of 30 meters. There are small coves and the sand is dark and coarse, typical Mediterranean. Moreover, the promenade offers a beautiful stretch from Puerto Banus to Nueva Andalucia. Finally, tropical palm trees cover the promenade. Taking a stroll here and enjoying one of its many places to stop for a drink is something you should not miss.
This beautiful beach that looks directly towards the Rio Verde beach combines many attractions, as it is surrounded by all kinds of services. As you may know, Puerto Banus is known worldwide for being a very sophisticated enclave in the Mediterranean coast. Its wide offer of restaurants and shops has led this little area to have a large influx of wealthy tourists.
In this beach, as in its port, glamour finds its natural habitat and the “coolest” characters of the national and international television scene stroll along its sand, terraces and stores.
Rio Verde beach is located just before reaching Puerto Banus if you come from Marbella Old Town. For its location and especially for the quality of the services offered, we are talking about one of the busiest and best beaches in Marbella. In addition to this, in its surroundings you can enjoy the remains of a Hispanic-Roman villa of the first century, known as the Roman Villa of Rio Verde. El Ancon Beach in Marbella is located on the Golden Mile, next to the urbanization of the same name. It is a beach with a good length and an average width. Luckily enough, it doesn’t get very crowded, however during the summer period most of the beaches in Marbella are fairly busy. This is also the beach where bar Victor’s Beach is located, one of the best known of the municipality.
Nagueles beach is located in the “Golden Mile”, next to the Marbella Club. It has a recently built beautiful promenade with plenty of services, and disabled access. Nagüeles beach is well known and during the summer season its occupancy rate is very high. However in winter this beach is the perfect place to go for a walk in total tranquility.
Faro Beach is one of the most central and famous in Marbella. The word Faro in Spanish means “Lighthouse”, so this renowned beach owes its name to the very lighthouse that you can see from it. Faro is not the longest beach in town, as it is about 200 meters long, although it has a fantastic location. It is just 5 minutes from the luxury stores, big brands, terraces and restaurants. Makes it the ideal choice to enjoy the sea and the sun, and that is why it is usually crowded all year round. As an added value it has free parking. If after a long day at the beach, you need a break from the sun, only a street away is the Parque de la Constitución. In this park you can enjoy a beautiful garden and an auditorium where different activities are held, both leisure and cultural.
In the urban center of Marbella you can find La Venus Beach, right next to the Represa River. This beach is very well known as it is located in the promenade of Marbella, in front of the Alameda. In its surroundings you can find restaurants, bars, stores, apartment buildings, etc. The beach itself has all kinds of services and access for disabled people.
For many the “coolest” beach of the Costa del Sol, thanks to its location, close to the center of Marbella and its relaxed atmosphere always accompanied by “Chill Out” music. The palm trees provide shade on the beach and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
If you want to enjoy fine golden sand, be surrounded by exotic vegetation and swim in calm waters, El Realejo beach is the perfect place. Los Monteros beach is a semi-urban beach in Marbella, located a few kilometers from the city. In its surroundings we find some of the most luxurious urbanizations of Marbella. This beach is part of about two kms of coastline with dune formations, along with the beaches of La Adelfa, Realejo and Rio Real. Alicate Beach in Marbella is not excessively crowded, its occupancy rate is average throughout the summer. An exclusive urbanization of the same name surrounds Alicate Beach. It is home to some celebrities, including Antonio Banderas, who has a house right on this beach.
The Real de Zaragoza beach is extensive and quite narrow, but certainly one of the best in Marbella. It is a quiet beach of golden sand, perfect for resting and relaxing lying in the sun. In its surroundings there are some of the most exclusive urbanizations of Marbella, as well as beach bars and restaurants.
This beach of golden sand and extensive vegetation owes its peculiar name to the stream next to which it is located. Thanks to its particular landscape, this beach is ideal. The beach of Las Chapas is the most glamorous of all the Costa del Sol because here is where you can find a good number of restaurants and establishments of great quality and of course, also beach clubs. Among the beachfront bars facing the Mediterranean that are located in Las Chapas we can find the famous Nikki Beach. A fabulous club where we can listen to good music and better food, while enjoying the best leisure activities. However this does not affect in any way to its tranquility because although it is one of the most beautiful and recognized beaches of Marbella is not usually overcrowded.
